MeowPin — a map of good deeds for street cats
A web service with an interactive map: find a cat spot, feed the cats, mark it — and earn points.
The task
Design and launch a service that turns caring for street cats into a simple shared habit: a map of spots where cats live, an easy “I fed them” photo check-in and game mechanics that keep people coming back.
The solution
Built the entire service on pure PHP and MySQL: an interactive Leaflet/OpenStreetMap map with a status for every spot (“fed today”, “1–3 days”, “long ago”), photo check-ins, points, a leaderboard and achievements, friends and a knowledge base — from where to buy food to spaying. Fast on mobile, right from the street. To make check-ins even easier, I also built an Android app with Capacitor — the same service in your pocket, being prepared for release on Google Play.
